First week of Marathon Training Completed

I wanted to document the first week being complete for marathon training.  Due to the weather and road conditions, I have been forced inside for many of my runs.  I completed 4 runs this week:

  • Sunday – 5k run 26:30, plus another .6 miles
  • Monday — Elliptical (40 minutes)
  • Tuesday — Fireman training (SCBA skills — lots o’ sweating in a water impermeable clothing)
  • Wednesday — 5k training with hills (half marathon pace)
  • Thursday — Intervals (meant to do 6x800m at 7.8-8.0 mph diminishing intervals with 200m rest, but the treadmill kept flipping the breaker, so I ended up with only 5x800m and 5 miles total ran)
  • Friday — Elliptical (45 minutes)
  • Saturday — 8 mile long run
  • Total miles ran:  20 miles

There is likely 16 weeks left before my marathon (Cellcom Green Bay Marathon).  I have my work cut out for me.
